Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine

In October 2014 Gzhytskiy National Veterinary and Biotech University of Lviv celebrated 230 years in operation.

The university is situated near the city center in a large area (10 hectares) with a beautiful lake in the middle. More than 6,000 full-time and part-time students study at the university at four faculties: veterinary, food technology and ecology, biotechnological and economic.

The university has well established relationships with universities in Poland, France, Latvia, Hungary, USA, Austria, Canada; student exchange is a usual practice.

Gzhytskiy National Veterinary and Biotech University of Lviv is a member of the Worldwide Consortium of higher education institutions. In May 2000, the faculty of veterinary medicine became a member of European Association of higher educational institutes that includes 42 universities. The large Assembly Hall on the 3rd Floor is a place for conferences with a capacity for 400 people. Adding to the ambiance are portraits of scientists who worked at the university over the years.

A stage in the Conference Hall and a large lobby with a restaurant add to the appeal of this venue.
