Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life In Lviv named after Klymentii Sheptytskii

This museum, situated in the beautiful Shevchenkivskyi Hai Park (Shevchenko’s Grove),was created in 1971 as of the largest open-air museums of its kind in all of Europe. Its aim is to preserve the wooden folk architecture, everyday life and art artifacts that depict daily  routine, work and leisure of Western Ukrainian villages of the last three centuries. Buildings include the folk architecture and authentic interiors of churches, huts, schools, windmills, oil manufacturing and pottery making buildings. Additionally, every weekend the museum offers workshops on traditional crafts such as blacksmithing, baking, pottery making, doll making and wood-carving. This is a rich visual and appealing overall  xperience, owing to the outdoor nature of the museum, the folk architecture, and all the individual accouterments used by people in these regions over the past 300 years. It’s a great place for conferences and incentives in the summertime.
