Lviv is proud to host the Annual EHS Monothematic Conference on The State of Art in Hernia Repair on 9-11 September, 2018. The European Hernia Society is co-organizing this event, which anticipates almost 200 participants.
The initiators of holding EHS congress in Lviv are the President of the Ukrainian Association of Hernia Surgeons Prof. Jaroslav Feleshtynskyi and the delegate from Ukraine in European Hernia Society Dr. Orest Lerchuk.
“Holding high level medical congress in Lviv will allow Ukrainian surgeons to learn best practices from their foreign counterparts”, – notes Dr. Orest Lerchuk.
Lviv Convention Bureau helped them prepare their application.
“The decision to host the conference in Lviv was made after organizers visited the city in April, including inspecting the main venue and meeting the City Mayor,” – explained Dr. Lerchuk. The EHS board members quickly noted the Lviv hospitability, and were pleased with all other congress requisites.

The European Hernia Society (EHS-GREPA) is a non-profit making international scientific forum that focuses on abdominal wall surgery. It consists of 19 national chapters with more than 1100 members.
The EHS devotes itself to improving patient care by the study of both scientific and clinical related matters in the field of hernia. To this end it holds an ‘Annual Congress’ which facilitates presentations and discussions in new scientific research within hernia surgery.
